Nobody says it will though. So you should swap the battery. Oct 30, 2014 · Try putting some rubbing alcohol on a Q-Tip or Toilet paper and rubbing it on the contacts on the motherboard. Normally what happens is over time the conductive material on the back of the membrane rubs off on the contacts creating a barrier preventing the membrane from making contact. Try that and see if it works.
Jan 3, 2005 · The magnetic bearing compass sensor draws a fair amount of current, so it would need frequent battery replacement with normal cells. For a standard G-Shock, the usual lithium cells are much better, considering I must have gotten something like 5 years on the batteries and still going (never using the backlight or alarm functions on it much).
